To operate the hospital’s central communications center. Direct Supervision (this position reports directly to the Patient Access Supervisor) Remote and periodic supervision. Follows a routine daily work schedule and observes established hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Must maintain a high level of public relations awareness due to constant customer interactions.

Required Skills

Must be able to read, write, interpret and communicate. Previous PBX and/or answering service experience preferred. Requires a specific body of knowledge normally acquired through on-the-job-training. Requires frequent application of one or two forms of mental effort such as adjustments, judgments, decisions, mathematical calculations, interpretation of spoken and written words, etc. Must initiate cooperation among others for effective performance.
