This position installs, configures, customizes and trouble shoots the AutoPLANT and AutoCAD installation base schema and environment. Provides AutoPLANT and AutoCAD support to computer users by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Configures and develops the installation base of AutoPLANT and AutoCAD software.
Configures and develops AutoPLANT and AutoCAD network administration schema.
Performs AutoPLANT and AutoCAD troubleshooting to isolate, diagnose, and solve AutoPLANT and AutoCAD problems.
Upgrades AutoPLANT and AutoCAD software as required.
Adheres to AutoPLANT and AutoCAD software license requirements.
Tracks down parts of AutoPLANT that are not working properly and reprograms them to function as needed for project work.
Designs and modifies advanced macros, scripts, and LISP routines used by AutoPLANT and AutoCAD software.
Provides technical assistance and training by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems, or questions.
Writes and maintains documentation to describe operating procedures and standards.
Work with vendors to obtain quotes, evaluate software and make purchase recommendations.
Analyzes code to find causes of errors and revises programs.

10 years minimum in AutoCAD administration and 5 years minimum in AutoPLANT administration.
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university; or ten years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral, diagram or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access), AutoDesk AutoCAD, Civil 3D Design, Bentley AutoPlant, and AutoPipe.
Certificates and Licenses:
Bentley eLearn Training Certification (or equivalent work experience)
This job has potential to move into a management position. Ability to lead project teams and manage people is preferred.
