The Investment Bank Finance & Business Management's goals are to ensure a sound control environment and support the business strategy. The IB F&BM centralized infrastructure project team provides project management support for Investment Bank initiatives impacting a variety of systems from risk management to the general ledger when it spans across multiple lines of business within the IB.
Specific responsibilities include
The project team is responsible for executing all steps of the project life cycle (initiation, planning, business requirements, functional design, build, test planning & execution and implementation) including but not limited to the following:
Define project scope, stakeholders, risks and issues.
Draft business requirements, test execution plan, UAT entrance & exit criteria, and standardized test cases to be leveraged during UAT.
Participate in UAT (user acceptance testing)
Partner with technology to ensure the design and build requirements meet business needs.
Project management experience. Previous experience supporting large projects or leading smaller end to end projects is preferred.
1-3 years previous business analyst and project management experience with a financial institution preferred
Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements.
Proficient in Microsoft applications, specifically Excel and Power Point.
Project Management and Relationship Skills
Able to independently identify steps to take a project from initiation to implementation.
Ability to quickly create partnerships with existing team and key dependency areas such as middle office and technology teams.
Strong oral and written presentation skills. Ability and comfort in effectively communicating project status to management or other team members.
Able to critically challenge when warranted with the goal of resolving issues.
Business Analysis Skills
Ability to quickly understand a complex matrix of operating systems across the infrastructure and their interrelationships and dependencies.
Detailed documentation skills to define and capture the current state of a process and articulate future state in a proposed draft manner.
Ability to understand and articulate business requirements.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Organizational Skills and Flexibility:
Able to execute tasks under aggressive targets and effectively manage to changes in plan.
Ability to multi-task in a constantly changing environment.
Able to work independently and be self motivated.
Ability to work extended hours as needed to ensure all deliverables are met in a timely manner
