Description:
The Collector works in the Collections/Risk Operations environment and is typically aligned with the routine outbound collections calling process and frequently requires guidance on non-routine situations
Primary responsibilities are collections, customer servicing and other loss mitigation or recovery activities
Contacts delinquent, charged-off, or high-risk customers in order to secure payment and determine reason for delinquency on active loan accounts
In the recovery area, collectors will work with customer to establish full balance repayment plans or settlements
Works an established list of accounts on an automated collections system and/or auto dialer
Can resolve routine billing inquiries and negotiate payment arrangements to cure delinquent accounts
Understands and educates customers on account terms and alternate payment programs and methods
Navigates a computerized data entry system or other relevant applications
Making outbound calls, or receiving inbound calls on delinquent or high-risk customers in order to secure payment and determine reason for delinquency on property charges
General Reverse Mortgage Customer Service via phone and mail
Maintain a high production level/goal requirement while completing other responsibilities
Needs to be flexible, adapts to change, fast learner, multitasks, navigate through multiple screens, some college, customer service, collections experience preferred
This is a temp position, which will probably not lead to a permanent position

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent, one to two years of college accounting or equivalent work experience, and Mortgage background preferred
Collections and/or Customer Service experience is a MUST
Demonstrate the ability to effectively relate to co-workers, customer and vendors using good verbal and written communication skills
Can work in a fast paced high volume call center environment
Ability to prioritize/organize/multitask in order to meet required goals/standards
Strong computer skills using Windows and Microsoft Office software programs for word processing and records maintenance
Needs to be flexible, adapts to change, fast learner, multi tasks, navigate through multiple screens
Strong work history
Strong problem-solving and reasoning ability with decision-making capabilities
Able to adapt to changing environments, situations, and job responsibilities while maintaining productivity
Self-motivated and able to work both independently with minimum supervision and in a team environment
Must have proven track record of great attendance
MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A COUNTY AND FEDERAL CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK AND SUBMIT FINGERPRINTING

Pay Rate: $14.00/hr

Schedule: 5am-5pm M-F, MUST be flexible to work any shift between these hours
