The Evaluating Treatment Utilization and Outcomes in Populations (ETrUOP) research program in the Division of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy is recruiting an experienced data analyst. This position is a full-time EPA non-faculty (Research Associate) appointment. The position will work with the program investigators to create analytical datasets and reports, to assist statistical analyses and manuscript and grant proposal development, and to provide consulting and training for graduate students, postdoctoral research fellows and other trainees.
MPH or MS degree
Qualifications and Experience
Ideal candidate must have at least 2-year solid experience in working with large relational databases, processing large administrative healthcare datasets (medical service claims) and or clinical record databases, and creating final analytical datasets. The candidate should possess strong skills in SAS programming including SAS data steps, proc SQL procedures, and SAS macro. Experience and skill in statistical modeling and GIS (e.g ArcGIS, geocoding, and mapping) is a plus.
