Full time 40 hour per week position working day shifts
Under the supervision of the Rehabilitation Manager/Director, the Physical Therapist will administer comprehensive physical therapy care to acute rehabilitation patients and any other assigned patient or customer (i.e. Inpatient and Outpatient Rehabilitation, Bennett Rehabilitation Center, etc.), utilizing the assistance and providing clinical supervision to licensed Physical Therapy Assistants as appropriate. Also, the Physical Therapist is responsible for participating in the student intern program; taking an aggressive role in program development and Continuous Quality Improvement; continuing post-graduate studies through continuing education; and performing clerical and maintenance duties.
Follows all established organization and department policies, procedures, objectives and quality assessment. Responsible for assisting in maintaining a safe working environment throughout the organization by adhering to all safety management policies and procedures which reflect the mission and philosophy of the Ascension Health System. Attends all mandatory in-service programs and maintains professional and education requirements.
Bachelors Degree from an accredited physical therapy program
Doctorate Degree for new graduates
Registration, Certification and/or Licensure Required
Current Indiana PT license
Or Indiana license eligible and has a current Temporary License
CPR/AED certification within 90 days
Successful completion of clinical fieldwork
one year of experience in hospital inpatient/outpatient setting
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required
Oral/written communication skills
Must demonstrate appropriate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the patient.
Must possess the ability to assess patient data relative to age specific needs and provide care as described in the department¿s policies and procedures.
