Registered Nurse/Clinical Informatics Analyst utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. The Registered Nurse/Clinical Informatics Analyst provides expert care and education to patients in the Maternal/Newborn, Labor/Delivery setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, mentor and positive role model for colleagues and allied personnel. The Registered Nurse/Clinical Informatics Analyst is knowledgeable of all related departmental emergency procedures, disease processes, interventions and pharmacological agents. The Registered Nurse/Clinical Informatics Analyst serves as a primary technology resource for their designated departments within the organization. The Registered Nurse/Clinical Informatics Analyst will be responsible for implementation and education of staff regarding any changes or enhancements to the EHR. This will be accomplished by close adherence to all change management protocols. The Registered Nurse/Clinical Informatics Analyst will provide clinical and technical support to the end-users. The Registered Nurse/Clinical Informatics Analyst will participate in the ongoing evaluation, build and implementation of the EHR system. The Registered Nurse/Clinical Informatics Analyst is responsible for assisting CMC staff in identifying and promoting technologies that meet the clinical requirements of CMC.
Minimum Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Licensed or eligible for licensing in State of ontana as a Registered Nurse. Recent Labor and Delivery experience required. Current BLS and NRP upon hire; Healthcare Provider BLS within 3 months of hire. Must be proficient in English. Oral and written communication skills required. Computer skills required. Experience within CMC in the build of Cerner as a material expert. Ability to collaborate with multiple clinical departments to provide excellent clinical education. Preferred/Desired: BSN preferred. Fetal Heart monitoring certification within 6 months of hire. Two years experience involving implementation, establishment, updating and/or maintenance of an information system preferred. Recent/relevant EHR experience strongly preferred. System implementation experience and experience in managing a systems project from initiation to completion. Experience in teaching and training preferred.
This position will be required to work both Labor & Delivery and Maternal/Newborn.
This is a split position:
0.4 is Clinical Informatics Analyst
0.6 is Staff RN
12 hour shifts; 7am - 7pm
Every third weekend will be required.
This position is subject to Drug & Alcohol testing according to MT Law: 39-2-205-39-2-211
