Senior Network Administrator/IT Support/Computer Technician/Help Desk

The position can be boiled down to two simple concepts:
Keep the customer’s network running Keep the customer informed
You are responsible to provide computer and network support focused on customer satisfaction. This position requires a high degree of communication with the customer and other JIL team members. Consultants “Take Ownership” of assigned tasks and see them through to completion. Areas of responsibility include end user support, network management, network diagnostics, Windows Server management and IT management. This position is also responsible for project management, vendor management, product development, server and network design, and implementation of new systems.
Minimum of 5 years of experience providing multi-user computer support This position requires someone that knows what they are doing – someone that already has all of the answers and can solve problems quickly. If you are not a top notch technician, please don’t waste your time and my time.
Strong interpersonal skills - You will be working with all types of people at all levels of the organization. Good communication and documentation skills Good organizational and time management skills – You must be able to prioritize your time based on the severity of the issues facing you Strong technology background including, but not limited to: Microsoft Server Technologies: DHCP, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, IIS and Backups. Microsoft Small Business Server 2003, 2008 and 2011experience is a plus. Email – Thorough understanding of Exchange and web based email technology, delivering email to mobile devices, blocking spam and preventing customers from ending up on spam blocker lists. End User Technologies: Windows 7 and XP, Microsoft Office (including Outlook), Tablet/Cell Phone (Apple and Android), Anti-virus, and Anti-malware Network Technologies: TCP/IP, DNS, Routing, Switching, Firewalls, VPN, and Remote Access Bonus points for knowledge of phone systems, QuickBooks and/or Website design. Ability to learn and support new applications and technologies Relentless focus on providing a high degree of service by taking ownership of projects, tasks, and trouble tickets Ability to complete initiatives and projects on time Microsoft, Cisco and other certifications are nice but not required
We Have a virtual office. Technicians work from home but spend significant time at our customers. The expectation is to be available on customer’s locations from 8:00 to 5:00. Afterhours and weekend work will be required at times. Reliable transportation and insurance is required. All hours worked are entered into the time reporting database on a daily basis. Medical/Dental benefits and paid time off are included with this position.
