Dell Services Federal Government is looking for a Systems Administrator to plan, design, and implement UNIX/Linux networked systems, including configurations, supporting/troubleshooting network problems and coordinating with vendors for installation of such items as routers, bridges, concentrators and switches. Performs technical analysis of software, hardware, and network systems, systems integration for front-end processors, multiplexes, LAN/WAN communications, network nodes, switches, and various transmission systems.

? In depth platform hardware and software expertise.
? Deep understanding of enterprise systems environment.
? Strong knowledge of complementary technologies.
? Has experience with design, architecture and deployment of new systems in standalone and multi-tiered environments.
? Contribute to Project management activities for new system requirements, RFP responses, data center migrations and new technology exploitation.
? Transfers knowledge and provides leadership support to team members in the implementation of new hardware, operating systems and new software technology.
? Keeps abreast of new technology and make recommendations as to how best to utilize the new technology for the benefit of our customers.
? Design solutions to meet customer’s mission, objectives and requirements.
? Proactively assesses exposure areas and takes steps to reduce vulnerabilities.
? Provides technical leadership on complex projects involving a broad range of expertise and disciplines.
? Performs hardware requirements analysis.

o Security: (System/Network/Application Hardening)
o Programming: (C/C++, Perl/CGI, HTML, Java/J2EE, UML)
o Middleware: (Oracle App Server, Apache, Jboss, WebSphere, WebLogic)
o Complex Middleware: (ERP, SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle Financials)
o Monitoring: (BMC, Tivoli, CA, Automation)
o Transitions: (Migrations, Server Consolidation)
o Mentoring: (Presenting internal/external after classes, Developing Staff)
o Disaster Recovery
Typically requires at least 8 years relevant experience without a Degree; 3+ years relevant experience with Undergraduate Degree; 2+ years relevant experience with Graduate Degree
