This position is accountable for the general oversight of multiple Information Technology projects within a division, or for cross-divisional projects, that may vary in complexity and duration. This position directs, manages and implements program management activities, to meet initiatives that support the success of the business operations. This includes direct accountability for program or project execution from beginning to end, assembling and leading the program or project team, or teams, delegating tasks, identifying, managing and negotiating resources, and communicating project related information to the Divisional PMO or appropriate stakeholders . This position will adhere to guidelines and processes to ensure that divisional objectives correlate with enterprise initiatives through communication and collaboration with the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO).

Provides day-to-day coaching and support to the EPMO Project Coaches and divisional project management staff in support of enterprise project management information systems, tools and templates to ensure alignment of technology solutions to Horizon Project Management Life Cycle.

Required Qualifications

Data Management Manager; previous data management and analytics experience REQUIRED

Healthcare and PMP Certification is highly preferred but not required at this time

The Program Manager - Data Management and Analytics has is responsible for the effective execution of the Programs within the Data Management and Analytics area. These programs span organizational boundaries that involve external vendors and multiple business units. This position has “dotted-line” reporting relationships and must be able to negotiate with others to meet program objectives.

The Program Manager ensures that project goals are accomplished and in line with Business Unit objectives. The Program Manager is responsible for managing the Project Management team that supports the Programs.

The successful candidate is familiar with and monitors all major project activities, ensuring the currency, quality and integrity of the information, while providing consistency in content across the enterprise. Manages a dynamic team of individuals who constantly search for creative ways to elevate the capabilities of Data Management and Analytics systems to meet business needs and create a competitive advantage

  • Broad IT SDLC knowledge and high technical expertise across all technology architectures, devices, and protocols
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects from vision through implementation, involving internal personnel, contractors and vendors; ability to analyze project needs and determine resources needed to meet objectives
  • Proficient in managing and developing relationships with multiple technical vendors
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms and to communicate with C level management
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver highly technical information to less technical individuals
Additional Skills

  • Ability to manage Data Management and Analytics development projects from inception to successful implementation
  • Understanding of how to leverage Data Management and Analytics for competitive advantage
  • Solid understanding of Data Management/ETL technologies
  • Solid understanding of the software development process, including requirement gathering, analysis/design, development tools/technologies, release/version control, contemporary testing methodologies and deployment management
  • Strong analysis, design and implementation experience with Data Management technologies
  • Expertise in setting and managing customer expectations
  • Technical proficiency in hardware and systems software, as well as experience implementing Data Management solutions and working with Systems Integrator vendors
