Autodesk SaaS Platform Services is a platform infrastructure and services team focusing on supporting Autodesk's SaaS Products. Reporting to the SaaS Platform Services Operations Manager, the Cloud Products Application Programmer is responsible for helping drive the operational efficiencies and availability of the Autodesk SaaS applications and web services infrastructures. The successful candidate will be joining a highly respected and fast paced team. You will be tasked with recommending solutions as part of the continuous process improvement methodology of the SaaS Platform Services Operations team. The position will leverage virtualization and cloud resources and technologies as the core of the SaaS infrastructure and platform service. Provide advanced Server systems setup, administration, configurations, and automated implementations. Help support global cloud services and resources for optimal efficiency, functionality, security and management.
Perform server and web service deployments, configurations, updates, and improvements. Support functionality and security audits, generate detailed executive reports outlining risk, and provide technology recommendations.
Push code updates and releases for web components and products into Staging, Integration, Production and Disaster Recovery environments.
Anticipate and research new cloud and web technologies appropriate to our cloud infrastructure, platform and products.
Evaluate, implement, and administer highly available platform for servers and web services. Provide operational support and experience with managing cloud infrastructures, foundational components and global products.
Help define, improve and promote architecture and standards based on ITIL "best practices"
Help architect and implement Windows solutions that meet or exceed our internal and external customers' expectations by working closely with Autodesk Engineering teams.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems as required 24x7 and serve as one of the highest levels of escalation for system administration issues.
Develop relationships with professional organizations, user groups, and industry trade groups to stay current with latest technology.
Degree in Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent experience
5+ years experience in virtualized technology infrastructure design, implementation and troubleshooting
4+ years experience in operating customer-facing, web products or properties with high volume
Successful experience in Windows Systems Administration and troubleshooting
In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems
Knowledge of cloud infrastructures, such as Amazon AWS and Cloud.com
In-depth working knowledge and experience with Web services on Windows
Experience writing scripts to automate common administrative, deployment and infrastructure tasks
Basic knowledge of Windows Active Directory (2003/2008)
Willingness to participate in 7/24 on-call rotation to respond to and resolve application issues to ensure SaaS applications are online
Basic knowledge of networking and security concepts
Good organizational skills and the ability the track and prioritize several tasks
Excellent customer interaction and written and verbal communication skills
Excellent problem solving skills, along with the ability to work independently, as well as part of a cross-functional global team
Ability to work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of various factors

Knowledge of MS SQL Server
Proficiency in system design, implementation, and troubleshooting in a multi-vendor and multi-protocol environment

Strong understanding of security policy procedures, architecture and design
Experience in DevOps and/or Kanban processes
