In the Yahoo! Bing Network, Microsoft and Yahoo! run a joint search advertising marketplace with Yahoo! servicing the large advertisers and Microsoft serving the small and medium business advertisers. The segmentation of the service of the marketplace requires first planning and executing for newly migrating markets and second monitoring segmentation and moving advertisers between the two companies to optimize the business.
This position will manage cross-company customer segmentation from the Microsoft side for all markets. The scope will include owning process design, migration planning & strategy, project logistics, defining deliverables and project management. This person will also coordinate governance updates, segmentation business decisions, platform feature requests and tool/template alignment to land segmentation globally with Yahoo!.
Roles and Responsibility:
•Own and maintain the segmentation strategy & migration project plan for new markets onboarding. This includes implementing segmentation strategies with Yahoo!, tracking cross-group dependency deliverables, and facilitating the execution across the markets.
•Own end-to-end process requirements and design around the periodic re-segmentation and migration effort in the steady state for markets that have already migrated. This includes input and review with key stakeholders (MS SMB, MS Billing, MS Business Group, MS Engineering and Yahoo!) as well as updates on an ongoing basis.
•Own the regularly recurring meeting(s) with Yahoo stakeholders, regular communication on project status internally and externally, coordination with key search alliance business owners to ensure the segmentation results meets business needs.
•Own executive and key stakeholder periodic review sessions and content preparation to ensure key issues are reviewed, communicated and approved accordingly to the MS executives and key stakeholders on a timely basis.
•Drive steady state segmentation related business decisions including review and any changes to the segmentation guiding principles and business strategy on a market by market basis. This includes tool strategies, templates, and other enablement materials.
•Collaborate with Segmentation Data Management & Governance Lead in each global region on driving requirements around maintaining data cleanliness, applying business decisions, validating re-segmentation work, and driving for improvements in data alignment and process management with Yahoo!.
•Coordinate with key partners to ensure the reporting and measurement are in place to track success of customer segmentation and migration efforts - as well as provide timely and useful information to key stakeholders around the steady state Search marketplace.
•Act as a point-of-contact on the Microsoft side for steady state segmentation escalations and work towards mutually agreeable resolutions or else funnel escalation properly through governance process.

•Exceptional program/project management skills - 8 years demonstrated experience driving large complex scale projects. Ability to identify implications of issues and risks and dependencies.
•Outstanding attention to detail combined with an ability to see the big picture.
•Demonstrated ability presenting to and communicating with senior level leaders to drive issue resolution and decision making.
•Experience working across disciplines and organizational boundaries to gain timely closure on decisions that impact project.
•Demonstrated ability to drive a virtual team to accomplish a common goal without direct reporting relationships.
•Working knowledge of the Microsoft search advertising sales and service business
•Preferred - Ideal candidate has a working knowledge of the Microsoft/Yahoo Search alliance deal and project.
