General Description:
The Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for developing effective and compelling content for online and other interactive channels in support of communications strategies and business priorities at 7-Eleven.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Supports the timely execution of 7-Eleven's online communications channels including 7hub, Yammer, This Week @ 7-Eleven and more. Gather necessary materials to develop content for the channels by collaborating with other communicators, business partners, employees and franchisees.

Monitors, measures, and provides feedback reporting on the results of internal communications, including dashboard development and data analysis Conduct benchmarking and explore industry best practice.

Identifies new, creative ways to reach 7-Eleven internal audiences through social media and other communications opportunities.

Working member of the intranet governance structure, leading sub-committees and serving on advisory boards as necessary.

Perform a variety of editorial duties, such as organizing, indexing, and revising content of written materials, videos and graphics in support of 7-Eleven communication strategies, and managing multiple editorial calendars. Responsible for reviewing and instituting project management processes in order to improve the quality and speed to market of all interactive deliverables.

Provide support to the Senior Manager - Internal Communications as needed. Special projects will include 7-Eleven Experience, and various large-scale employee events and campaigns in support of 7-Eleven's corporate strategy.

Position Requirements
Requirements:
Education: Bachelors/4-year Degree. Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism preferred.

Experience: 3-5 years

Areas of Expertise: Excellent editing, writing, and proofreading skills are essential. Experience writing for the online format and developing online content preferred.

Specific Knowledge & Skills:
Expert knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Excellent editing, writing, and proofreading skills
Excellent experience writing for the online format and developing online content, including content management.
Social media experience and understanding helpful, especially Yammer.
Must be a detail-oriented multi-tasker able to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, willing to troubleshoot technical problems and learn new technologies
