As the Linux Engineer you will provide a variety of systems administration and operational support services for enterprise network systems. You will be responsible for evaluating and Installing new software releases, system upgrades, and patches within a configuration management framework. You will also resolve hardware- and software-related problems; as well as perform system backup and recovery. You will be required to maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity. In this role you must apply knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field; and will rely on your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. You must work as a team with the client and other contractors to identify, present, and resolve issues with current architecture and foreseeable future issues with limited supervision. You will also manage priority changes as directed by government officials, and performs other duties, as assigned.
· 3+ years hands-on experience with Linux, specifically Red Hat Linux experience
· Understanding of DNS, scripting and working in a Windows environment
· Hands- on experience with Backup Exec or other enterprise class backup software
· Moderate to heavy lifting (10-80lbs average).
RHCE or SCSA certifications
Hands-on experience with Trustwave Enterprise or ArcSight
CISSP, SANS GCIA, and other certifications
Experience with Red Hat Linux virtualization, fault-tolerance, or shared storage
Security Requirements: Active Secret Clearance.
