JOB SUMMARY: Performs a wide variety of secretarial/receptionist duties to ensure that the department is able to operate in an efficient and organized manner in fulfilling its mission to provide the best possible care to patients. Performs assigned communication/office duties to ensure the efficient and accurate flow of information. Demonstrates positive customer relations in all interactions with patients and visitors. Efficiently and accurately schedules patient appointments for outside providers' evaluations, diagnostic procedures, special procedures and/or tests as prescribed by physician. Performs assigned operational duties to ensure the efficient operation of the department. Maintains proper inventory of medical and office supplies Prepares storeroom and purchase orders as directed by OHS Coordinator Performs typing or filing with accuracy as generated within the clinic. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from high school including clerical/secretarial related courses. One (1) to three (3) years clerical/secretarial experience in a position having heavy public contact. Accurate typing skills - minimum of 35 wpm. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Computer knowledge.
