Compensation

Salary Range: $62,500 - $98,700
Hay Grade: 'G'

Responsibilities

This position is accountable for planning, directing and evaluating the Transit Authority's non-revenue vehicle fleet operations including managing the Jay Street; Livingston Plaza and Greenwich Street garage's; executive vehicle assignments; motor vehicle pool allocations; enforcing the DMV Critical Driver Certification Program; scheduling fleet maintenance and, making non-reimbursable passenger vehicle replacement determinations. Plan, direct and evaluate non-revenue fleet availability and arrange for all maintenance and repairs. The preparation and review of the Take Home Car Reports, Vehicles Out of Service Reports and Emergency response usage. Develop vehicle option requirements and prepare Purchase Requisitions. Purchase and distribute replacement tires and prepare, implement and monitor contracts for car washing and general services.

Education and Experience

A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college, with a major in Business Administration. A minimum of eight years of experience in a non-revenue vehicle fleet and/or administration of other transportation industry including four years of managerial/supervisory experience or satisfactory combination of education and experience.

Desired Skills

Knowledge of the Authority's Policy Instructions as related to passenger vehicle administration, vehicular maintenance operations, safety rules and regulations. Personnel development, work prioritization, overtime distribution and preventative maintenance procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
