DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The selected applicant will lead or assist in audit engagements or other projects as assigned. This Assistant City Auditor III will work with the Audit Team in assessing risks for each audit and integrate the impact into the audit program. The individual selected for this position will communicate with various levels of employees throughout all phases of the audit. He or She will identify findings/issues/cost-savings/improvements and efficiencies, determine likelihood and magnitude, verify facts and document the evidence accordingly. The selected applicant will draft the report, obtain adequate management responses, and ensure all necessary documentation is contained in the workpapers.
This position is physically comfortable, the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related field with a minimum of 24 hours in accounting/auditing.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Four years of professional experience in accounting/auditing are required.
MINIMUM LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is preferred.
Preference will be given to applicant with experience and interest in, A-133 Grants Management Testing, IT Audits
And Complex Contract Auditing.

The salary range for this position is: Pay Grade 25
