The qualified candidate will provide telephone support for motorists seeking information regarding the Connecticut Motor Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program as well as provide troubleshooting and administrative support for inspection station personnel.

  • Responds to inquiries by motorists relating to program rules and requirements, procedures, test results, and station locations
  • Documents motorist’s complaints and assists in resolving them appropriately when possible
  • Interacts with inspection station personnel with technical, procedural questions and concerns pertaining to the emissions testing process as well as administrative support (providing forms, training information, etc.)
  • Opens and dispatches services calls for equipment service issues that cannot be resolved over the telephone
  • Strong service and teamwork orientation
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Strong verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office programs
  • Bilingual preferred (Spanish) but not required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required
  • Two to four (2-4) years working in a Customer Service environment required
