Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - (Psych Nurse - Psych NP)
StartDate: 04/29/2013Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
A Nurse Practitioner is needed to begin work immediately upon the completion of credentialing and privileging to work in a Mental Health Outpatient Clinic. Work will last for a period of at least five months, or until a permanent provider can be identifed. The working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
A psychiatric nurse practitioner provides therapeutic and psychiatric services to patients in need. These practitioners may work in a wide range of sectors, including as social workers, pastors, or addiction counselors. Mental health practitioners diagnose and assess their patients' needs and work to create effective plans for rehabilitation, conducting therapy sessions, prescribing medicine, and making referrals as necessary.
Basic and Advanced Life Support Certifications are required by the start date.
Experience working with the veteran population is considered a plus.
