GENERAL SUMMARY :
This position acts as the executive leader of Bob Evans Farms' adoption, deployment and optimization of technology solutions to best serve our guests/customers, enable our employees and drive our business. Directs, plans and manages the Information Technology (IT) policies to assure the development and implementation of data processing, computer operations and related functions.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :
. Establishes functional IT direction, goals and objectives.
. Develop and evolve an actionable 3-year strategic plan for IT capabilities - must work closely with business leaders to ensure alignment of business and IT strategies.
. Drives IT architecture, technology roadmap and related governance.
. Works across different business models and requirements (family dining and casual dining restaurants, as well as consumer packaged goods).
. Demonstrates ability to anticipate how new technologies will redefine guest/customer and employee expectations - particularly, digital capabilities around e-commerce, m-commerce, social media and digital marketing.
. Support the development and implementation of programs that help BOBE achieve ‘best in class' performance in key areas of operations, with particular focus on ‘best place to work'.
. Drives corporate-wide business initiatives via technology innovation - including exploiting revenue growth opportunities, business process improvements and leveraging information for better decision-making.
. Administers and controls the information systems expense budget to contribute to a cost effective operation.
. Shapes corporate-wide business goals via innovation opportunities - technology solutions to drive competitive advantage for our businesses.
. Ensure efficient IT operations and return on IT investment.
Requirements PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
The individual selected for the Chief Information Officer position will posses:
. Highly developed interpersonal skills particularly, proactively building effective relationships with business leaders, demonstrating confident executive presence and motivating team.
. Highly developed communication skills - particularly, the ability to articulate plans, solutions and results in business (not technical) terms.
. Strong, metrics-driven performance management of IT functions - both effectiveness and efficiency.
. Technology integration, business continuity and risk management.
. IT solution evaluation and selection (including outsourcing), and rigorous vendor management.
. Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or closely related field.
. Advanced degree or MBA preferred.
. 15+ years overall business experience; 5+ years leadership experience in IT functions.
. Business transformation and change management experience is a plus
. IT solution evaluation and selection, and rigorous vendor management. Demonstrated capability to "variable-ize" cost structure and improve IT services through external service offerings (including outsourcing).
. Digital strategies experience is a plus. EDUCATION :
. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent field required. An advanced degree or MBA is highly desirable
