The position of Regional Sales Manager will require the candidate to actively promote and sell surface measurement and geometry measurement equipment in the designated territory. This equipment is used by manufacturing companies during the machining process to control the quality of various components. The territory in question consists of South Dakota, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas. The candidate will need to act as direct sales on a one on one basis with manufactures in a consultative sales role. The candidate will also be required to fully develop and implement a strategic and tactical plan for target marketing and lead generation within the region.
The target industries will include: Automotive, Bearing manufacturing, Medical Manufacturing, Various tier 2 manufacturing of various metallic components.
The perfect candidate will have had experience in machining industries primarily metal removal, understand machining process: turning, grinding, homing
Example of duties:
Develop and implement a tactical and strategic sales strategy for reaching the designated target.
-Prepare weekly schedule of visits within the region to current and new customers.
-Provide timely feedback concerning competitive and or changing market conditions.
-Maintain the current Taylor Hobson customer database with up-to-date information and notes detailing weekly events and opportunity advancement.
-Provide customers with a credible and reliable source for surface and form measurement requirements.
-Meet or exceed the yearly sales goals.
BA/BS or Equivalent machining or production experience.
-Knowledge of various machining processes i.e. grinding, turning, polishing.
-Good presentation skills are a must.
-Strong PC Skills are a requirement.
-Must posses a solid understanding of Microsoft Office.
-Understanding of Surface and Form measurement would be a plus but is not required.
- Ability to quickly learn, understand and convey complex information.
-Must fully understand the selling process.
-Strong tactical and strategic abilities
-Ability to understand machining process and production.
