The Gas Turbine (GT) Mechanical Instructor will be responsible for developing and delivering training curricula for Gas turbine mechanical courses at the GE Energy Learning Center, serving the Power Generation Services (PGS) Field Engineering teams. Essential Responsibilities
Serve as an assigned member of the PGS Energy Learning Center (ELC) staff

Conduct training sessions using approved training materials and is directly involved with making revisions to training materials

Be responsible for development and delivery of both entry level and advanced technical training courses on GE Gas / Combustion turbine mechanical equipment

Work closely with ELC Technical Training Team, GT Design and Product Engineering teams to deliver current, cutting edge technology training to meet business fulfillment needs

Integrate Field Engineering e-tools, reporting, service notice and other business processes into the gas turbine programs

Course scheduling and logistics per strategic business requests

Document and record keep (leverage technical reference materials where appropriate in training session, update course material)

Train class attendees with S-O-A content in the most efficient manor

Own and drive course content improvement

Have financial control of training expenses

Leverage business subject matter experts as extended training team members

Focus on Safe, High Quality training with the ultimate deliverable being a high quality, capable, field Power Generation Services Field Representative to apply to customer maintenance and/or installation needs

Learn and apply new technology, tooling and lean lessons best practices on all product lines

Develop and build lab stations to support courses

Function as a technical subject matter expert in areas of expertise

Be responsible for student performance evaluation appraisals

Identify and procure new equipment for use in technical training (appropriation requests) Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 5 years of related work experience

Minimum of 5 years of field experience with Heavy Duty Gas Turbine equipment installation or maintenance

Ability and willingness to travel globally, approximately 20% of the time Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Technical Training experience (customer and/or internal)

Recent installation / maintenance experience

Technically savvy, with in-depth hands-on GE heavy-duty gas turbine frame product knowledge

Gas Turbine Mechanical Program graduate or equivalent experience

Adult technical training course design & delivery or equivalent training experience (customer or internal)

Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management Applications, and online applications

Ability to communicate effectively, oral and written

Flexible, willing to learn and teach new technologies

Strong interpersonal skills, team player

Demonstrated self-starter with excellent written and oral communication skills to convey technical concepts to business and technical personnel

Strong organization skills

GE GT Field Engineering Program (FEP) or Direct Hire (DH) Graduate (GE Employees Only)

Recent GT equipment installation experience (GE Employees Only)

Maintenance and repair experience on GE Gas Turbine and Auxiliary equipment (GE Employees Only)

Green Belt certified (GE Employees only)
