As a Creative Director at KIT digital, you will inspire our clients and their customers. You will demonstrate a real passion and understanding of digital consumer behaviour through ideas, creativity and the use of interactive media. You are responsible for the development and execution of creative concepts for leading-edge VOD platforms, portals, multi-device and web solutions for major global brands.

You will be responsible for managing a small creative team, as well as be very hands-on for on-going work and pitching for new business. You will have an army of technical and site development gurus - if you think it, they can build it!

You:
Your portfolio will contain a varied selection of full websites you've worked on, with exploratory work to back up your rationales. Your digital experience and designs should exude user-centric principles. Ideally, you would have worked closely with high caliber IA's and responsible for delivering well executed, pixel perfect websites.

As Creative Director, you will be expected to tick all the following:

Creative direction and design:
Research, instigate and apply new and influential direction to the visual aesthetic of projects.

Seek approval and feedback from the VP of UX / Director of UX / Lead UEA at the most appropriate points in the project in order to ensure a high quality of work.

Play a key role in inspiring and motivating the client and other team members thorough the application of fresh and inventive visual work.

Review design work from Designers and provide direction and feedback.

Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail during the production process.

Provide feedback to and consultation to Client Services, Technology, UX and Project management teams throughout the duration of the project.

Make significant contribution to the concept and/or creative work during the pitch process.

Regularly look for a way to incorporate emerging media and new media formats.

Provide art direction, set direction and guidance to members of the design team.

Management:
Build good relationships with team members ensuring your team has a high level of morale.

Mentor direct reports and help them to develop skills to help in their work.

Work with the Director of UX to manage workload and resourcing.

Ensure timesheets are completed accurately and on time.

Travel Expectations:
The Creative Director role will require domestic and Latin American travel between 25% - 40% of the time.

Desired Skills and Experience

Proven experience working as an Art Director / Creative Director / Lead Designer

Experience working in a creative / agency environment.

A degree in Design, Interaction Design, Visual Studies or any other design related field preferred.

Proven success working in collaborative multi-functional teams.

Strong information presentation (visual and written) skills.

Considerable experience developing successful concepts and evidence of where these have been adopted by clients or other team members.

Experience heading up an integrated creative team - managing creative projects from concept to completion, translating marketing objectives into creative strategies, and directing a creative team.

Extensive experience using the most common software: Photoshop v6+, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Keynote, browser technologies (Firefox, Mozilla, etc.).

Additional working knowledge and use of the following would be advantageous: Quark Express / Maya / Lightwave, on of more sound design tools, one or more video compression tools.

Not essential but would be a bonus: Understanding of motion design and the strengths and limitations of Flash, Ajax, Flex, and other emerging platforms.

Presentation skills – the ability to contribute to and deliver presentations to colleagues and clients.
