--Assist Chief Communications Officer with developing and implementing media and marketing plans
-- Support the management of St. John's brand image to ensure the integrity of the organization's brand
-- Assist with the maintenance and updating of the hospital's webpages and social media accounts
--Work with creative services partners and advertising media to place and monitor all hospital advertising
-- Coordinate community outreach events and programs
-- Assist with writing and distributing news releases to local and industry journalists
-- Assist with development of social media and social marketing campaigns and promotions
-- Attend hospital and community events as hospital representative as needed
8 hour shifts
Knowledge and skills generally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree at an accredited college with major coursework in communications, marketing or related field.
At least 2 years experience in public outreach, communications, marketing or a similar area involving program development, coordination, implementation and evaluation.
Strong written and communications skills, as well as editing proficiency and the ability to establish and maintain rapport and positive relationships with media representatives, service line Representatives, volunteers and community partners.
Ability to write press releases, newsletter articles, brochure copy and online content.
Proficient in Microsoft Office. Public speaking and public presentation skills.
Self starter, ability to multi-task, excellent interpersonal skills and customer service with a high level of professionalism and teambuilding.
Demonstrated ability to exercise judgement related to policies and procedures. Willingness to work weekends and evenings and to travel when necessary.
