Position SummaryResponsible for accurate and timely calculation, processing and distribution of North American payrolls including execution of payroll changes, master file revisions, manual entries, pro-rated payments, tax computations and benefit deductions on an in-house payroll system. Responsible for preparing and/or reviewing US federal and state payroll tax payments, payroll tax returns, and W-2 forms for domestic entities. Provide comprehensive customer service to employees at all levels. Ensure compliance with all internal policies and procedures.
Responsibilities & Duties* Process North American payrolls including input or upload of approved adjustments to pay, employee status changes, benefit deductions, levies, garnishments, taxable fringe benefits, loan collection, vacation balance tracking, leave of absence and any other adjustments.* Maintain employee files reflecting all payroll updates and audit changes posted to payroll software* Maintain the flow of documentation for payroll changes including clear and open communication with internal departments to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll changes, auditing of payroll & HR systems.* Review North American weekly payroll process for hourly employees* Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay calculations. * Prepare and/or review all assigned payroll tax deposits (federal and state), quarterly/annual payroll tax returns (Forms 941, 940, etc.), monthly journal entries and W-2 forms for domestic entities. * Assist in resolution of any notices received from government agencies regarding tax filings in a timely manner.* Ensure that transactions are processed in compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as government agency regulations. * Other monthly payroll processing projects, including but not limited to: Multi-state tax reporting review and upload.* Input international employee payroll data to in-house payroll system for international employees requiring W-2 reporting.* Develop knowledge of tax issues as well as payroll and accounting systems through active participation in on the job training and seminars as assigned.* Perform other duties and special projects as assigned or as responsibilities dictate. Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in a business related field preferred* Minimum two years of payroll experience required* Ability to meet scheduled deadlines* Team player* Strong attention to detail* Strong organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills* Strong Excel and written/oral communication skills* Ability to handle highly confidential information in a professional mannerCareer Opportunity & Application InstructionsThe Domestic Payroll Administrator role is a perfect opportunity for a 2+ year candidate to expand their knowledge of full cycle US and Canadian payrolls.
