This position, as part of the Office of Institutional Advancement, will bring strategic leadership to the Web Communications division of the Department of Interactive Communications. The Chief Web Communications Officer (CWCO) will be accountable for TCC's web presence, including, social media, and other supporting web channels (e.g. mobile) and enterprise-wide redesign, maintenance systems and performance monitoring.

The CWCO will advance TCC through responsibility for development/redevelopment of TCC's web presence. Develops web strategies and practices to maximize TCC's engagement with its online audiences. Works with cross-departmental leadership to prioritize web communication as the leading and most cost-effective form of communication and be responsive to diverse stakeholder interests. Provides leadership to the Web Communications team, and to manage multiple projects at a time with tight deadlines and limited resources, as well as the day-to-day activities of the Web Communications team. Collaborates with Institutional Advancement officials in order to maximize the reach and impact of TCC's brand and message through the web.

Minimum Qualifications
Skill in leading web communications teams, defining priorities, managing projects and measuring effectiveness as the guardian-in-chief of TCC's online brand. Ability to develop strong relationships and to reach out to college-wide leadership to accelerate buy-in to change. Ability to work with cross-departmental leadership in order to meet the web demands of a complex institution. Ability to resolve conflict stemming from resistance to change. Skill in leading enterprise-wide web development and redesign projects. Knowledge of common and emerging open-source programming languages and software, such as Drupal, Joomla, and Wordpress. Knowledge of database and server management. Skill in maintaining a system for web content management, instituting rules and procedures and different levels of permissions for users. Skill in written and verbal communication. Ability to communicate technical information using accessible language to multiple audience types, including institutional leadership. Ability to write web copy according to best practices. Ability to optimize web writing for search engine optimization (SEO). Ability to manage a dynamic work cycle, involving multiple inputs and multiple outputs. Ability to manage and maximize workflow among team members. Knowledge of social media and ability to manage and improve TCC's social media presence. Ability to represent TCC with professionalism and respect to all participants on TCC Social. Knowledge of web best practices in higher education and beyond. Previous experience leading web communications teams.

Preferred Qualifications
BS in Marketing, Communications, Web Design or Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and experience. Experience selecting a content management system (CMS).

Special Requirements
HOURS: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

This position requires satisfactory completion of background checks prior to employment. This position is contingent upon availability of funding.
