The candidate will be based in the Elmira plant and responsible for the integration design of the Systems and the design of the logic of the vehicles within the Engineering department. Main tasks will include: - Collaboration with the main engineering department in Spain during the design & development stage of the project.- Direct contact with the suppliers of the systems embedded on the train to ensure the correct mechanical, electrical and functional integration on the train.- Frequent contacts with the client in all functional design and system integration issues.- Assistance to the manufacturing and testing departments during the manufacturing and validation stage of the project.
Previous experience of the candidates in the railway business is desired.Other requirements: Proactive, with high degrees of initiative. Open minded. High teamwork skills. High communication skills. Solid technical background. Availability for traveling, both within the US and to Europe. Expertise, or experience, in programming language in C++ is highly recommended, since part of job may require the use of C++.Languages English: fluent Spanish: because of the frequent relations with Spain, medium to high level of Spanish will be highly considered.Education: BS Degree in Engineering, preferably electrical engineering.Experience
