Role and Scope of Position:
This position is responsible for overseeing all activities of the Electric Commercial/Industrial (C/I) Accounts that provides engineering-based technical support to customers, account executives/representatives and internal departments with the goal of increasing overall energy efficiency sales and customer satisfaction. This position also provides technical support for all value-added services and energy use programs.
Provides Project Management for turnkey energy projects including customer proposals, bid specifications, bid review/selection, vendor management, receivables and payables.
Responsible for P&L maintenance and growth of EnergyLink product line.
Provides support to account representatives and other departments on complex technical, energy rate and policy development/deployment issues.
Researches, identifies, develops and implements new value-added products and services for all customer classes.
Responsible for the implementation of programs, policies and strategies that directly affect NSTAR’s load growth, load retention and revenue growth.
Ensures customer expectations are met through conducting studies and recommending system enhancements and changes for existing systems and in aiding customers in making the correct energy choice for energy plans.
Develops proposals and scope of work descriptions for value-added product and service offerings, including pricing and documentation of technical specifications.
Provides technical support for energy efficiency efforts to commercial, industrial, institutional and governmental customers.
Develops and supports technical programs for C/I customer initiatives, including Distributive Generation, Renewable Energy and Demand Response.
Directs supervision of department staff including Senior Engineers, Account Support.
Technical Knowledge/Skill: Requires theoretical, as well as practical, knowledge of methods, practice and principles of electrical and mechanical systems and equipment. Also requires strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to organize data and understand written technical instructions, procedures and documents. Ability to use PC desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Word and Excel) and mainframe systems.
Education: Requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related discipline. MBA preferred.
Experience: Minimum of eight (8) years related experience.
