Provides patient care to assigned patients in accordance to the patient care standards in a comprehensive manner through the use of the Diagnostic Imaging Department Standards and as described in the criteria below. This position requires the ability to understand, recall, and memorize written and verbal instructions. Good judgment is essential with the ability to function independently and must possess problem-solving skills.
The Special Procedures Radiology Technologist is expected to deliver care to the designated patient age groups:
0 Neonate (Birth - 28 days) 0 Infant (28 days - 1 year)
0 Child (1 - 12 years) 1 Adolescent (12 - 18 years)
1 Adult (18 - 65 years) 1 Geriatric (65 years and up)
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: : Qualifications: Registered by the A.R.R.T in Radiology. Licensed by the I.E.M.A. Must be CPR certified.
- Education: Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- Experience Two years experience as a radiological technologist and one year as a primary or assisitant Interventional Radiologicial Technologist, preferred. Must maintain a current knowledge in all aspects of Radiologic Technology. Must maintain continuing education specific to the employees licensing requirements.
