Job Description:
HR Coordinator is responsible for the administration of HR operations, including the maintenance of Human Resource Information System records. This position primary focus is on Benefits Administration for the Chico Plant and will assist in the execution of processes that support employee on-boarding and the life-cycle of an employee, including (but not limited to) processes supporting performance management, status changes, leaves of absences, record retention, and compensation. This position also assists with compliance management regarding company policy as well as state and federal law compliance.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Act as subject matter expert for Benefits programs and state specific requirements for benefits offerings to employees
Process data and paperwork as part of new employee hires, status changes, background checks, employee personal data changes, terminations and employment verifications
Create and maintain employee files and personnel records for all active and terminated employees
Compile personnel statistics, prepare ad hoc reports, provide information and assistance to the HR Manager and Plant Production Staff.
Identify process improvements and assist with implementing new procedures to support all areas of the business.
As needed, provide support for on-boarding, payroll, leave processing and other areas of HR department responsibility.
Requirements:
Strong communication skills
3-5 years experience in HR
Strong People interaction/relationship skills
Familiarity with Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
Ability to work with highly confidential information
