Janssen Global Services, LLC, a member of Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Senior Manager - Forecasting, Neuroscience (NS) Global Commercial Strategy Organization based in Raritan, NJ.
Janssen Global Services, L.L.C. (JGS) is a legal corporate entity encompassing a unique group of departments/organizations/teams that provide leadership across business critical areas for Janssen, the pharmaceutical companies of Johnson & Johnson. The following groups make up JGS: Global Commercial Strategy Organization, Global Pharmaceutical Communication and Public Affairs; U.S. Pharmaceutical Procurement Group (USPPG); and Pharmaceuticals Group Business Development (PGBD).
The Senior Manager, Forecasting is responsible for leading the revenue forecasting and commercial risk analysis process for neuroscience projects in support of the NS Global Commercial Strategy Organization. Projects span internal development, licensing and acquisitions, and portfolio reviews. The candidate will assist in optimizing commercial development strategies, and licensing and acquisition decisions, through cross-functional involvement as a key member of the strategic marketing team. Position involves interaction with, and presentations to, high-level management across global and operating companies. The position requires strong strategic thinking and an ability to develop innovative approaches for valuing both drug and non-drug (e.g., integrative solutions) assets. Will need to think both quantitatively and qualitatively. Will need an understanding of marketing, finance, and science. Key responsibilities include: being able to facilitate and lead discussions with cross-functional teams to determine appropriate forecast model designs and formulate key assumptions and risks, and to align with business partners. Incumbent must be capable of designing and building sophisticated financial models to address uncertainty and multiple scenarios, and interpreting and presenting the results to key stakeholders. Incumbent will be required to participate in the assessment of neuroscience opportunities across key disease areas - Alzheimer's Disease, mood disorders, schizophrenia and pain. In addition to strong leadership skills, must be able to manage complex projects, prioritize work and allocate resources accordingly.
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance or marketing, is required. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred. A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Market Research, Marketing, Business Analytics, Finance, and/or Sales is required. Experience within the healthcare industry ( e.g. pharmaceuticals, medical devices & diagnostics) within the areas of Sales Forecasting or Finance, with an understanding of Primary and Secondary Market Research data, is required. Experience in an analytical role, with secondary data sources and modeling, is strongly preferred. Experience in the neuroscience therapeutic area is a plus. Strong project management skills, i.e., the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and requirements simultaneously, are required. The ability to influence and impact others through building and defending arguments, and reaching consensus of opinion is required. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required. Proficiency in Crystal Ball is strongly preferred. Experience with internal product development, licensing and acquisitions and pharmaceutical portfolio reviews is preferred. The ability to travel approximately 5-10% domestically and internationally is required.
