We are currently seeking a Full time (40 hours a week) Substance Abuse Counselor for our Cranberry Township, PA facility
The primary role of the substance abuse counselor is to
assist patients in identifying treatment needs, while establishing and
building a relationship of trust.
Position Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
Provision of counseling services to patients.
Maintain timely and accurate patient paperwork and records.
Provide case-management and referral services.
Maintain Commonwealth of Pennsylvania certifications
Essential Skills and Experience according to Commonwealth of Pennsylvania regulations:
At least one of the following combinations of education and experience is required:
Current physician license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Master's Degree in behavioral or related field (which includes a practicum on a health or human service agency)
Bachelor's Degree in behavioral or related field and ONE year of
clinical experience (1820 hours) in a health or human service agency.
Associate's Degree in behavioral or related field and TWO years
clinical experience (3640 hours) in a health or human service agency.
Current registered nurse license in the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania, a degree from an accredited school of nursing, and ONE
year of counseling experience in a health or human service agency.
Full certification as an addictions counselor by a statewide
certification body which is a member of a national certification body or
certification from another state governments' substance abuse
counseling certification board.
Schedule and Compensation:
Full-time, Forty (40) hours per week, Monday - Friday 5:30am to 1:30pm. Occasional weekends.
Pay Range: $14.00 to $20.00 depending on experience and education.
