This job posting is no longer available on Find similar jobs:Business System Analyst jobs - jobs is looking for a Business Analyst who will provide support for technology solutions in the departments of Content Planning and Production at The ideal Business Systems Analyst (BSA) for this role has industry-relevant experience in video planning and production, is an experienced generalist with broad computer technology skills, good understanding of business functions, and is a good communicator who has a pleasant, supportive, and customer-focused personality.

Primary Responsibilities :
Build excellent working relationships with the leaders and staff of the Content & Production departments to understand their roles and duties, and capture their requirements and needs.

Research current commercial and open-source solutions that meet those needs

Meet with various solution vendors to understand benefits and pricing; support best value negotiations.

Consult with stakeholders in multiple departments to completely validate the proposed solution’s technical viability

Prepare presentations to propose solution(s) to the stakeholders.

Working with other staff as needed, develop and implement solution implementation plans.

As needed, provide some or all of the solution implementation, configuration, and administration. For solutions that are based on a database, this means acting as the solution DBA (database administrator) or arranging for on-demand support from another DBA.

Act as the primary or secondary system administrator for the solution, or arrange for the fulfillment of that role.

Provide cross-training on the Solution to other Business Systems Analysts.

Become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the business solution; evangelize the solution benefits; provide support and training on the solution

Experience and Qualifications:
5+ years as a technology systems business analyst

3+ years working in the video planning and production industry

Familiar with video/audio capture, editing, & capture technology and tools

Familiar with commercial or open-source solutions in various business areas including finance, sales, customer service, human resources, facilities

Multiple operating system environments, including Windows XP, Mac OS X, and Linux (Ubuntu, Redhat, or Debian)

Systems administration, including software installations and package management

Database administration on MySQL or MS SQL.

Systems integration and software scripting: bash, perl, python, ruby

Good skills with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint

Excellent communication skills

Good organizational and planning skills

Resourceful and energetic problem solver
