Assistant or Associate Faculty Positions
The Department of Biomedical Sciences at Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus, seeks applications for two tenure-track, full-time faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate rank starting Fall 2011. Candidates must have a PhD. The candidate will be required to teach lecture/ laboratory courses for the graduate and undergraduate biomedical science/clinical laboratory science students. The candidate will also be required to conduct research and seek outside funding for research activities.
Additional duties include the advising of students, oversight and mentoring of student research projects, and participation in campus, school and departmental committees. Preference will be given to candidates with research, teaching, and clinical experience in Hematology and Blood Bank, but applications from qualified candidates with experience in other academic disciplines such as Medical/Clinical Chemistry, Immunology, Computational/ Systems Biology, Pharmacology, and Biochemistry will be welcome.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
