Bring your order management systems knowledge, technology experience and business process savvy to this organization in support of Starbucks supply chain operations.
This job contributes to Starbucks success by directing the planning and coordination of global order management systems and third party logistics integrations. Develops strategy and roadmap for new applications or revisions to existing systems for specific business units or departments. Manages user support and troubleshooting, input on business requirements, system and process enhancement support and documentation, system maintenance, and partner training in a functional or central business area. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.
Summary of Key Responsibilities

Identifies and communicates key responsibilities and practices to ensure the immediate team of direct reports promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results.

Ensures partners adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements.
Oversees training and development of directly and indirectly managed partners.
Makes effective staffing decisions, taking into account resource demand, team skill sets and budget constraints.
Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to team members in order to achieve partner, business and customer results.
Selects, trains, manages, and reviews performance of department team. Sets and maintains the professional standards required to meet business unit and company objectives.
Develops multi-year and annual goals, objectives and budgets for implementation, sustainment and support within the designated business areas.
May manage budget for assigned areas.
Plans and manages the design, implementation, and integration of systems and processes for specific business areas or departments, Ensures alignment with company business and technology goals and strategic roadmaps.
Collaborates with business and IT partners to plan, prioritize and resource initiatives.
Builds partnerships across all organization levels within Information Technology, internal business customers, technical support resources, and external business partners.
Provides leadership on project teams as appropriate to ensure successful completion on time, within budget.
Identifies trends and gaps with existing systems and processes. Identifies opportunities and proposes projects to improve systems, processes and infrastructure.
Oversees system training documentation to ensure continued and correct use of the application and roll out of new tools and procedures.
Manages ongoing operation of systems and processes for specific business areas or departments. Oversees resolution of day-to-day operations issues to ensure user, business and production requirements are met. Ensure communications and documentation of status, root cause and resolutions are provided
Oversees testing of new system functionality and quality assurance for all systems fixes, enhancements, changes and implementations.
Ensures support documentation is created, updated and used as intended to assist with production trouble-shooting and resolution.
Prepares, communicates and educates client groups and team on changes in policies and practices within the organization.
Summary of Experience
Diverse business experience in the area of order fulfillment and third party logistics integrations - 10 years
Order Management systems & technology, preferably in a complex and diverse systems environment -10 years
Progressive experience in systems design, testing and implementation within a large, global organization - 10 years
Working in functional business area -10 years
Analytical and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment - 6 years
Team and project management experience, including the ability to build and lead cross-functional teams - 5 years
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Working knowledge of all aspects of order fulfillment: On-line ordering systems, EDI, order entry systems, internal order processes, sourcing, scheduling, allocation, picking, shipping, etc.
Working knowledge of all aspects of integrating with third party logistics providers: Inventory management, receiving, shipping, documentation standards, etc.
Order Management application experience (Oracle Order Management)
On-line Ordering application experience (Oracle iStore)
Order Fulfillment business experience: retail or consumer product group companies
Understanding of retail/quick service food industry supply chain and order fulfillment related challenges
Working knowledge of WMS integrations
Understanding of best practices for managing multiple 3PL integration partners
Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
Negotiation and conflict management skills
Working knowledge of all facets of systems development and operations
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including the ability to interact with senior leadership and provide input to the decision-making process
Effective management and supervisory skills, including planning, organizing, developing, and monitoring partner performance
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Applications such as Word, Excel, Visio, Project
Ability to understand, analyze and develop operational processes and procedures
Advanced knowledge of system tools and features
Ability to use business knowledge, sound judgment, and resourcefulness to adapt existing policies to specific situations and select among varied courses of action
Ability to manage teams comprised of technical and non-technical professionals at a variety of levels.
