The Traffic Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire inbound and outbound activities of the distribution center. This individual is also accountable for identifying, designing, developing, and engineering continuous improvements in service to the client. Responsibilities will include hands on problems solving with customer, carriers, and other support personnel. The Traffic Office Manager will work closely with a variety of Schneider Logistics teams to identify the most significant issues for focus and resolution.

Detailed Description Coach and mentor Schneider Logistics associates. (Traffic Office Specialists – Inbound and Outbound and an administrative assistants) Also accountable for their performance reviews quarterly. Monitor transportation budget for all local parts distribution center transportation managed by Schneider Logistics. Review and approve all large dollar claims and transportation accessorial charges.

Responsible for all performance metric reporting. Manage the shipping program. Monitor carrier compliance and meet with carriers jointly with the Schneider Logistics Carrier Management team. Resolve all transportation / shipping issues promptly.

Play active part of resolution, communicating resolution plan to customers, and following up to ensure problems are resolved. Coordinate and implement all programs and continuous improvement processes as directed by the client. Communicate effectively and build a professional relationship with internal / external customers and strive to exceed their total service expectations. Job Requirements College degree preferred.

Management experience 3+ years. Strong traffic office and management experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build positive working relationships. Solid analytical skills.

Ability to make decisions and take appropriate action on behalf of the customer. Ability to lead a team, including coaching and mentoring. Strong time management skills and ability to work independently. Demonstrate initiative, stress tolerance, team play, and ability to confront issues constructively.
