The HR Transaction Administrator reports directly to the Director of Human Resources Information Systems, and is part of the Human Resources Transaction team. The mission of HR Information Systems is to implement new technology, upgrades, and enhancements to Stanford University’s Human Resources information systems. The HR Transaction team serves as a business partner in setting standards of excellence, building relationships within HR and across University departments to ensure client issues are identified and resolved in a timely and thorough manner.
The Human Resources Transaction team (HRT) is a unit focused on attaining the highest standards of quality in the area of HR transactions, data reliability and maintenance of electronic HR documentation for Stanford employees. The HRT Administrator is a Fixed Term position through August 31, 2011 at 100% time. There is also a possibility that the position end date may be extended. This position will apply knowledge of Stanford’s hiring and employment practices and related policies.
The HRT Administrator will use PeopleSoft HRMS, AXESS timecard, Trovix – Applicant Tracking System, as well as Microsoft Office systems and applications. The HRT Administrator demonstrates strong analytical and communication skills. The position will focus on successfully assisting clients and central office staff by ensuring HR data consistency and accuracy. The HRT Administrator must fully understand and complete work with the highest degree of accuracy, sharing key learning and process improvement ideas with team members.
She/he will ensure appropriate, timely and accurate processing of all transactions and personnel documentation. An important role will be to identify opportunities to reduce entry and processing time of data, reviewing of reports, auditing of data, time entry into AXESS timecard, and workflow initiatives, maintaining and documenting best practices. The administrator will provide updates to the manager for the purpose of monthly status reports including statistics and trends. The administrator will work in partnership with the local HR Management and central HR office staff.
QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a two-year Associates Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent education or expertise. Demonstrated experience, knowledge, and competence in human resources administration usually associated with two or more years of successful completion of progressively complex assignments. Two or more years of experience using human resource applications, such as PeopleSoft HRMS, AXESS timecard, Trovix – Applicant Tracking System, and Microsoft Office, is required. Strong verbal, listening, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to relate to a diverse group of employees at all levels within the organization.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills required with the flexibility and adaptability to deal with rapidly changing priorities. Proven ability to independently solve complicated problems, to use sound judgment, and to offer recommendations. Demonstrated ability and willingness to work effectively and efficiently on multiple transactions and assignments in a team environment. Ability to recognize and handle sensitive/confidential information.
