Halifax Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Clinical Educator position for Hospice of Volusia/Flagler
This position serves as a teacher, consultant, practitioner and researcher. He/she is responsible for departmental level education for patient care staff; serves as a resource person for patient care teaching, and for clinical education of local nursing students. This position provides direct patient care, serves on committees as requested or assigned.
Current Florida RN License required
BSN required , Master's preferered.
Recent Hospice experience required.
Previous teaching experience desireable.
Demonstrates effective organization and time management skills.
Must possess excellent writing, documentation and communication skills
Must possess exceptional computer skills
Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, continuous learner.
Ability to work independently on concurrent, multiple tasks and lead projects.
Demonstrates excellent knowledge of current nursing and patient care practices and the ability to learn and teach new concepts.
Demonstrates ability to apply nursing theories and trends appropriately in the clinical setting
Must be customer-service oriented and able to effectively communicate and build relationships with co-workers and key stakeholders at all levels in the organization.
Professionalism in interpersonal communication skills with patients, patient families, colleagues, physicians and ancillary department personnel is required.
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, to assist in providing exceptional care for our patients and their families.
Provides on sitetraining, field training and Allscripts training to support new and experienced nurses and preceptors
