Position Summary: Performs MRI diagnostic procedures. Operates MRI equipment, develops film and prepares the room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure. Is able to provide care for his/her assigned patients. Maintains technical skills and is responsible for the use of equipment to minimize hazards and maximize patient safety. Secondary duties include clerical duties, receptionist, answering phones, scheduling patients, ordering supplies, stocking the department, maintaining files and general cleaning. Assist in collecting data for PI monitors and conducting QC on equipment. The ARRT practice analysis describes the clinical competency requirements and job responsibilities. The licensed independent practioner controls the ordering, preparation and administration of the medication/contrast. The LIP has given authority to competently trained technologist to perform this function under their control within the facilities guidelines and policies.

Position Requirements: A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: ARRT or eligible BLS B. Education: HSD OR GED Graduate accredited school of medical radiography C. Experience: Clinical rotation or 1 year experience D. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Critical thinking skills Patient care skills
