Desert Regional Medical Center is searching for a full-time BC/BE general Otolaryngologist to join a well-established very busy private practice in Palm Springs. The practice is in need of a surgical ENT, as the practice is essentially medical ENT (approximately 40 patients/day 3 days/week) plus allergy. This is an employed position with potential for equity in the practice if interested. There is little competition in the immediate market area. Call is approximately 1:4. In addition to general ENT, there will be some facial plastics and head & neck surgery.
DRMC is a 387 bed tertiary hospital, including a Level II Trauma Center, Comprehensive Cancer Center, Institute of Clinical Orthopedics and Neurosciences/Comprehensive Stroke Center, Cardiac services including CV surgery, Cardiac Cath, and EP, and extensive women's services including Perinatal, Neonatal/NICU, and Comprehensive Breast Center. State of the art surgical and diagnostic imaging equipment.
DRMC is affiliated with the University of California Riverside for their Family Medicine Residency Program at Palm Springs. The UCR School of Medicine has accepted its first class this fall, and the residency training program will begin in 2015 with 8 residents.
The Palm Springs/Coachella Valley has a year-round population of over 600,000 + 140,000 snowbirds. Palm Springs weather is outstanding 9 months of the year. Though summer is hot (100-110 average), humidity is usually low. Many outdoor activities are available year-round including hiking, biking, tennis, and golf; outstanding restaurants, great shopping, and cultural amenities, such as museums and live theater. We are 2 hours from LA and San Diego.
There are excellent public and private schools in the immediate area from pre-school through university.
