Job Title: Senior Enterprise Architect
Job Type: Contract 10-12 months + poss. extensions
Location: Northern Canada
Rate: Exceptional rates based on experience
Provides major direction in Network design, planning and implementation for the client's WAN/MAN/LAN/video environments specifically related to the existing service provider contracts and related infrastructure as well as major infrastructure upgrade initiatives sponsored by the CCIO office.
Analyzes departmental IT requirements and current projects to develop enterprise based designs and re-engineering solutions relating to infrastructures.
Analyzes departmental budgets and project cost allocations relating to enterprise project implementation plans, procurements and resource deployments.
Creates network designs, financial analyses and architectural frameworks for major projects and business case initiatives.
Contributes to the development of major procurement initiatives to secure products and services specific to enterprise infrastructure initiatives.
Develops and manages vendor relationships relating to major project infrastructure upgrades.
Acts as a project authority for technical implementations and deployments relating to enterprise infrastructure initiatives.
It will be a requirement that we provide a satisfactory criminal reports check of the Consultant prior to commencement of work. In the event a criminal record exists, the Client will have sole discretion in denying or accepting the Consultant to the position.
Rates and Expenses:
You will be reimbursed for the actual cost of one return airline ticket to our Client's location per the specific call up. As part of this return flight cost reimbursement, this is a one-time benefit and will not apply to renewals or extensions of contracts.
Rates will be broken down as follows:
$Daily Rate (7.5 hrs/day) + $Accommodation Cost + $Living Expenses/Day

Degree in Computer Science or IT related diploma/degree (or equivalent).
15+ years of experience in the below mentioned responsibilities.
Ability to understand the business strategies in relation to departmental business requirements and defining the related information technology infrastructure architecture(s) to support these strategies.
Analyze all existing infrastructures and have a clear understanding of operational support processes and procedures for data centre services, application systems, telecommunications and related network technologies.
The ability to evaluate proposed architectural changes while incorporating enterprise thinking, taking into account current information technology projects and business objectives.
Trustworthiness, and professional integrity.
Can be relied upon to remain on assignment(s) until completion.
