Summer 2013 Manufacturing Engineering Internship. A great opportunity to work on the Boeing 787 Commercial Airplane Program in South Carolina for 3 months. In this position, the selected candidate(s) will perform limited engineering analysis using tools and processes designed to verify the build process. They will explore and determine methods to meet or exceed engineering requirements and specifications. The candidate(s) will participate in various build team activities, cross-functional assignments, and work to ensure regulatory agency requirements are satisfied. Using design/build tools, the candidate(s) will develop engineering solutions that improve the producibility of the 787 airplane. Working under close supervision for a specified period within the manufacturing engineering occupation and skill area, the selected candidate will perform exercises directly related to their college engineering practical and theoretical background.
