Reporting to the Radiology Manager, the Radiology Reading Room Assistant will be responsible for acting as primary liaison for Radiologist reading images. Ensures images are routed to the appropriate Radiologist for interpretation. Distributes and maintains control of radiology imaging results and performs related clerical duties. Assists physicians, patients, hospital staff and others with requests for imaging results; works with physician offices to coordinate retrieval of images; maintains image and report tracking system; and acts as resource to the film librarians.
Must be able to type forty (40) words per minute.
Demonstrated computer skills.
Experience in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to function independently.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize in a logical manner.
Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in the usage of medical terminology.
Excellent customer service skills.
