To provide receptionist support to the Grandview Administration Department and executive secretarial support to Vice President's and Directors. Works independently to perform routine duties, including, but not limited to scheduling appointment, giving information to callers, advanced planning and organizational functions, and otherwise relieving administrative staff of clerical work, minor administrative and business details. In addition, acts like a liaison between the Vice President and various customers of the hospital (medical staff, nursing directors, patients/families, external customers, etc).
Associate degree in office-secretarial program or equal experience in an office environment required. Three to five (3-5) years’ secretarial experience required; previous executive-level secretarial experience preferred (especially in health care setting). Proficiency in work processing requires; Microsoft Word preferred.
Proficiency using computer database programs required; i.e. E-mail, Power Point, Excel, Access, etc. Typing skills of 60 wpm required. Proficiency in using standard office equipment. Knowledge or rules of grammar, punctuation and spelling skills.
Ability to plan, initiate, and follow through with responsibilities with minimum of direct supervision. Good organizational skills, as well as written and verbal communications skills. Ability to understand and follow through on instructions.
Decision-making and problem solving skills. Ability to reach and/or stand for extended periods of time, push/pull/lift/carry heavy objects, and travel to other departments/outside locations requiring maneuverability of barrier encountered.
Notary Public commission preferred.
