Provide administrative support to the Director and Associate Director of Development for the College of Architecture and Urban Studies. Serve as the point of contact for development function in CAUS. Provide confidential fundraising support, maintain databases, process donor gifts, assist with appreciation programs, coordinate and schedule meetings, manage calendars and travel arrangements, prepare reports, compose professional and confidential correspondence, coordinate mailings, and assist with event planning. Assist in research and gather information as necessary.
Previous experience providing administrative support in a professional office environment including preparing professional business correspondence and managing spreadsheets and data. Demonstrated proficiency with current office computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Excellent communication skills with emphasis on telephone and office etiquette; strong interpersonal and organizational skills; and strong basic math skills. Ability to handle confidential material and maintain confidentiality; handle money with a high degree of accuracy and care; manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines; work accurately and edit/audit work; work independently and as well as part of a team and prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment; and to professionally interact with donors/volunteers, vendors, and service departments both on and off campus.
Associate's degree in office technology, business, marketing, or related field or equivalent training and experience; and CAP or CPS certification. Previous experience providing executive level support; planning and organizing events with limited supervision; development and/or fundraising. Experience with large relational database applications such as Banner.
