Quality Engineering

Job Summary

Responsible for supporting the Quality Department in planning, management and coordination of the quality control activities to assure that the Operation delivers products that meet all quality requirements of our Company and customers.

Essential Functions:
Responsible for maintaining the total Quality Control System that conforms to customer and company requirements.

Maintains the 3 rd party accreditations (NADCAP, AS9100).

Actively engage inspection/quality department to minimize escapes and customer returns.

Review customer supplied specifications to PCC capabilities.

Cost effectively develops quality systems/plans that meet program requirements or all products.

Develop work Instructions from customer-supplied specifications.

Approve part router in accordance with PCC procedures and customer specifications.

Negotiate with customers to align customer specifications to PCC capabilities where necessary.

Review customer quality complaints to determine appropriate corrective actions and implement sustainable corrective actions.

Work proactively with manufacturing and engineering to determine root cause and corrective action on all internal non-conformances.

Provide leadership and/or support of plant quality and continuous improvement programs, including Six Sigma, SPC and various customer focused programs.

Drive cost improvement/productivity initiatives throughout QC/Inspection departments.

Conduct internal and external audits.

Release product to be shipped as an authorized Quality Representative of the customer.

Supports and enforces all plant safety requirements and policies.

Education and Experience

BS in Engineering or technical field is preferred.

Ability to communicate with all levels of management, employees, vendors/suppliers and customers on quality issues

Strong analytical, decision making, problem solving skills

Possess understanding of risk analysis process, FMEA, and continuous improvement techniques
