Customer Service Representative
8 am - 5 pm Monday - Friday
a. Education: High School Diploma or its equivalent and a Bachelor’s Degree preferred
b. Two years experience in bookkeeping or similar field.
c. High degree of proficiency in office procedures, ten key and keyboarding and various machines.
d. Must maintain confidentiality at all times.
e. Knowledge and practical experience regarding basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
f. Ability to work independently and make decision in accordance with established policies and regulations.
g. The ability to work with other members of the team and management in a
harmonious and cooperative manner and to contribute positively to the overall decision-making process.
h. Strong ability to work through difficult situations and diffuse conflict with customers and assist in the solution of problems.
i. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the public, external customers and all levels of the company, both written and verbal.
2. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The Customer Service Representative reports to and is accountable to the Accounting Manager.
a. Manage all customer service activity, including order receipt and entry into the system, complaint management, and other customer requests – as assigned by the Accounting Manager.
b. Provide inside sales support through suggestive selling to customers.
c. Maintain customer database, including data entry and sorting.
d. Coordinate customer and broker communications as directed.
e. Work closely with sales on all customer needs, including orders, issues, pricing and promotion.
f. Assist with receptionist duties, walk in customers and employee ordering.
g. Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.
