The healthcare industry is expanding and SRS Pharmacy Systems is seeking expert developers and Linux administrators. SRS develops and provides integrated retail and long term care systems. Our integrated systems include pharmacy, delivery, point of sale, SIP-phone, EDI, imaging, and clinical analysis, among others.

The perfect candidate is one who is creative, focused and likes the feeling of helping a team be successful.

Duties include a subset or combination of design, development, validation and production. SRS designs and produces all subsystems and maintains a tightly integrated system consisting of hardware, OS, applications, maintenance, production, and installation.

For the developer who likes to span multiple disciplines, SRS affords the opportunity be a critical member of a team that leads the product from inception to production.

SRS' staff of 25 professionals supports systems in 23 states. Located in a semi-rural Michigan with access to great outdoor activities such as water skiing, camping, hunting, and snowmobiling. Relocation not required with appropriate skill set and work history.

Knowledge and Skills:
Java, C++/C, PostgreSQL.
CentOS/Fedora Linux.
perl/PHP/shell scripting.
Customer facing and internal interface design.
Solid understanding of development, validation and integration methodologies.
Current with IT products, services, and processes.
Broad understanding of programming logic, application refinement and design techniques.
Ability to communicate well orally and written.
Ability to learn business of pharmacy and long term care.
Capable of planning, organizing, decision-making, and problem-solving.
Likes to manage project details.
Interacts well with development team, support staff, and customers.
Solid work ethic with focus on project completion.
Adheres to design plans but alerts team leader when improvements and innovations viable.
Defines and documents technical requirements.
Can develop quality logging and system statistics for support staff.
Technical coaching and mentoring to less experience team members.

Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or effective work experience.
5+ years of experience Linux or UNIX.
5+ years of experience C++, Java or similar.
