GENERAL FUNCTIONS: Conducts classroom and laboratory training to equip participants with the competencies to function in employment as nurse aides/home health aides. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provides orientation to participants. Using a variety of techniques and methodologies provides instruction to participants in nurse aide/home health competencies. Evaluates participant performance and maintains competency attainment records. Supervises practical training experience at a health care facility. Maintains records concerning the progress of participants and prepares reports as directed. Reviews and revises curriculum to meet the requirement of local employers. Maintains equipment and materials in a secure place and prepares and maintains inventory. Instructs in employability skills required for participants to secure and maintain employment. Assists in arranging support services for participants. Describe goals, performance expectations and standards, and articulate how their individual performance supports the admission, career preparation, career development and career transition of students This posting does not list all the duties assigned to the job. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: RN or LPN certification. Experience: Two (2) years nursing experience required. Teaching and/or supervisory experience preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Effective verbal and written communication skills. Effective organization skills. Effective interpersonal skills. Classroom instruction and curriculum development. Ability to interpret data and analyze its use within educational programs.
