DESCRIPTION

The Long Term Disability - Integrated Claims Examiner will investigate, evaluate and determine benefit eligibility of Long Term Disability Claims in a timely fashion.

They will also develop and sustain excellent client relationships.

DUTIES

Selected candidate will manage Long Term Disability Claims according to established procedures; plan documents and state and federal guidelines.

Candidate will act as liaison between employees, employers and medical providers.

Ensures compliance with policy and provisions and state and federal regulations.

Candidate will exercise expense management through investigation, appropriate follow up, case management and claim settlements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Prior experience working with Long Term Disability Claims required.

Prior role as a Lomg Term Disability Examiner or equivalent required.

Proven experience in providing internal and external customer service.

Strong decision making capabilities.

Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost judgment and discretion.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Bachelor's Degree required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent math, verbal and business writing skills, good reading comprehension.

Ability to organize work, manage time and follow through.

Ability to exhibit a "can do" - helpful attitude.

Willingness to learn.

Team oriented

Knowledge of medical terminology a plus.

Prior benefits experience desired.
